The origins of Anjali and David can be traced back to a spilled drink. While attending a Burning Man fundraiser at an underground club in San Francisco on Nov. 12, 2005, Anjali bought a drink ticket from David, who was manning the podium. Then someone bumped into Anjali and spilled her drink, prompting a return to the line. Two encounters in such short proximity led to a conversation, which led to a dance, which led to a date, that led to a kiss on a hill, that eventually led to a surprise proposal on a windswept beach. And the rest, as they say, is history.
