Thursday, Sept. 2

12:30 to Sunset: Kayakpalooza! An inter-island kayak adventure from Orcas Island to its northern neighbor, Sucia. Pre-registration was required for this trip. Details were sent to participants by email.

1 pm: Camp Moran opens for guests. Find Jamie Luv to get your bunk/tent assignments and bedding.

8 pm: Dinner. Enjoy a repast of artichoke soup and pear-pecan spirals. Afterward, anyone who’s game will head into Eastsound for a few beers at the local brewpub.

Friday, Sept. 3

8 am: David’s Trail Run/Swim. David leads a trail run up and around Mt. Constitution, followed by a swim across Mountain Lake or Cascade Lake. Or maybe both. “Ordinary mortal” options available. Talk to David for details.

All Day: Arrival at Camp Moran and Work Party. Find your cabin and settle in. Explore the lake and your surroundings and head out on your own adventure. If you wish, join us for some work-party setup of the venue. 

Noon to 3 pm: Build-Your-Own Lunch. Assemble a sandwich and the fixins’ from our delicious ingredients.

7 pm: Dinner. Make some new friends over chicken satay, veggie stirfry and crusted baked cod.

8 pm: “Talks and Talent” Night: We are proud to host presentations and performances by some of our talented friends. Expect tales of galloping adventure, lectures to make you nod sagely, and stories so funny that sauvingnon blanc snorts from your nose.

Saturday, Sept. 4

Adventure Morning! Assemble your sack lunch and join your preferred activity of 1) a hike up Mt. Constitution; 2) a flat walk around Mountain Lake; 3) a bike ride (rental required); 4) a kayak trip (rental required). (Golf has been canceled due to lack of interest.)

Note: Registration required for Saturday biking and kayaking. See the email Anjali sent you on Aug. 19 called “Wedding Update – Saturday Adventure RSVP”. If you plan to kayak, make a reservation with Shearwater Kayak at 360-376-4699 AND tell Jamie Luv when you get on site. Cyclists: When you get on-site, tell Neil Shea you’d like to join the group.

4 pm: Wedding Rehearsal. Everyone with a role in the wedding, including readers, meets at Camp Moran/Cascade Lake for a run-through of the ceremony.

5:30 pm: Outdoor BBQ Buffet hosted by David’s parents, followed by ice cream sundaes and …

6:30 pm: Contra Dancing with a live band! Dress casual and wear comfortable shoes.

Sunday, Sept. 5

7:30 am: Self-guided meditation on the beach at Cascade Lake.

8 to 8:45 am: Yoga class at Cascade Lake led by Meredith Medland.

9 to 10:30 am: Breakfast. Pancakes, chicken apple sausage and home fried potatoes.

3 pm: Wedding Ceremony! Congregate on the banks of Cascade Lake. Laugh. Cry.

4 pm: Meadow Mingle. Cocktails, appetizers and group photos.

4:30 pm: Children’s Dinner.

5 pm: Reception Dinner and Dancing until the wee hours.

Monday, Sept. 6

7  to 10 am: Manic Monday Breakfast Scramble.

10 am to Noon: Strike. The newlyweds and their families will be cleaning up the facility. If you are available, help is welcome.

Noon: Check-out from Camp Moran and ferry departure.
